The first solution is to encapsulate the doors in a waterproof outer layer. This means they can be thoroughly cleaned as often as necessary and the doors will not suffer any water damage. What’s more, almost all of our doors can be encapsulated in this way, including fire doors, acoustic doors, x-ray doors, security doors and more – just tell us that you need them encapsulated and we’ll take care of it.
Antimicrobial doors
Of course, there is no substitute for regular cleaning, but we can help reduce the spread of infections further with our antimicrobial finish – a special coating that is impregnated into the encapsulation material at the point of manufacture. It is proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria and keeps working throughout the life of the door.
Contactless doors
How often these days do you open a door and then, conscious of the number of people who have touched the door before you, feel the need to wash your hands? At Performance Doors we have a range of solutions to this problem. It is sometimes possible to specify the doors to swing both ways so that they can be opened with the foot rather than the hand (in which case we can reinforce the door to withstand the constant kicking), but we also have some clever hardware solutions for hands-free operation and can offer fully-automated doors using touch-free sensors.
